Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur or commonly known as KL is the national capital of Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur is located in the Malaysian state of Selangor, in the massive Klang Valley, close to the center of Peninsular Malaysia which is also referred to as West Malaysia. It was said that Kuala Lumpur means "muddy confluence" coming from the word 'kuala'  which is the point where two rivers join together or an estuary, and 'lumpur' meaning "mud". Kuala Lumpur is the cultural, financial and economic capital of Malaysia and serves as a home to the parliament.

Upon introduction of the GATN program in 2012, YMCA of Kuala Lumpur took the challenge of hosting their first group in 2013. Through GATN, YMCA of KL has been packaging programs geared towards socio-cultural education, collaborative philanthropic work and social cause-driven adventures. They are offering different immersion themes under one objective- to introduce a sustainable and responsible kind of tourism.
