Global Youth Empowerment: YMCA partners with Enhesa

Date: 20 November 2024

The YMCA is excited to announce a partnership with Enhesa to create meaningful employee engagement programmes in key locations worldwide. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to driving positive social change and equipping young people with essential skills for the future.

The YMCA is the oldest and one of the largest youth organisations in the world, reaching over 65 million people a year across 120 countries. Our global presence enables us to implement initiatives in multiple countries and foster sharing and learning across borders and cultures. Enhesa is a leading provider of regulatory and sustainability intelligence worldwide,

Through this partnership, Enhesa employees will have the opportunity to participate in engagement programmes tailored to the unique needs of the communities where they live and work. Enhesa volunteers will work closely with local YMCAs to participate in activity days, special events, and workshops focused on sustainability and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. They will also help young people develop the confidence, resilience, self-awareness, and skills that are vital to gaining meaningful employment.

“Our partnership with Enhesa exemplifies the YMCA’s mission to connect young people with meaningful opportunities”, said Kathleen Elsig, World YMCA Director of Global Partnerships. “By combining Enhesa’s expertise in sustainability with the YMCA’s global reach, we are equipping young people with knowledge about sustainability management they need as leaders in a rapidly changing world.”

Locations for the initiative will include:

  • Toronto, Canada
  • Washington DC, USA
  • Setúbal, Portugal
  • Bath, England
  • Tokyo, Japan

“As we embark on this exciting journey with YMCA, we are looking forward to a partnership that will make a lasting impact on the lives of young people around the world,” said Beatriz Preto, Chief Human Resources Officer at Enhesa. “By combining our resources and expertise, we are not only helping to build a brighter future for the next generation but also strengthening the bonds between our employees and the communities in which we operate.”
