Where we have paid staff roles to join the Staff Team at World YMCA, we advertise them; where we take on ‘staff placements’ for short-term assignments, we also let you know. Come and work for us and with us if you can, and consult the Global Directory to approach your national or local YMCA.

World YMCA is pleased to invite National Movements to nominate candidates for its Staff Placement Programme. For the past years World YMCA has run a recurring programme for the career development of YMCA staff around the world, offering unique opportunities for existing staff to discover the work of the international YMCA level and to gain experience, insights and a global perspective of the Movement. The programme is an excellent opportunity for staff to develop their career from an international lens, benefiting both the YMCAs which send them, and themselves individually. Several former World YMCA staff placements are now serving in senior leadership positions in their YMCAs.
Open Positions
- 1 Strategy & Movement Strengthening Officer
- 1 Global Partnerships & Resource Development Officer
Both positions are for a period of 6 months, renewable for another 6 months. They can also include a period of up to 3 months in Geneva. The calls are open for existing YMCA staff (at any level), which would be seconded part-time to the World YMCA for the duration of the placement.
